AIRBNB DECLARATION
MAGAZINE
Illustrator and InDesign (Conceptual School Project)
The Imaginary Declaration Magazine was inspired after 1776 in early America and the famous patriotic holiday, Fourth of July.
It meshes the modern Airbnb look and feel together to create a story that commemorates the past of our nation. This holiday edition of Airbnb Mag was created to spread the cheer of celebrating independence while still celebrating togetherness. In order to maintain the overall brand design of Airbnb, I chose to twist the original color scheme of Fourth of July into a more modern color scheme that includes the corals and pastels of the Airbnb company. I wanted to add a lot of small details including the Airbnb logo, dusted stars, and Early America imagery such as the distinct background pattern that is printed on money, to George Washington’s face on the one dollar bill, bald eagles, and so much more.
The cover design was inspired by the many houses that are rented on Airbnb daily and was mixed together with the Statue of Liberty in my style.
